4th of July

Hello all,

We had a nice 4th of July. No days off because of it being on a Saturday and Friday being my normal night off.

Last night we went to a little shindig that one of the people on my Intern Task Force was having. It was mostly people with kids, but it was quite fun.

One thing that is super weird is that here you can set off fireworks in the city. At the party we were at they set off some huge ones - Paul told me that he heard it was like $300 bucks worth, but it seemed like more to me. It was comparable to the fireworks we had when I worked at camp.

This does not seem like it should be legal. :-P Right after we finished with the fireworks, we could hear a fire truck in the distance and it was a bit eerie...

Anyway, tonight is just sitting around and watching a movie. I have to preach tomorrow, so it should be a pretty uneventful evening tonight :o)
