Hello all,
Well, Paul and I are off to Texas after church tomorrow. I am supposed to give the children's sermon and of course the text is on the beheading of John the Baptist. Hmm... no idea about that yet. Oh well.
We are also not yet packed. I'm sure it will come soon, and I am very excited about the wedding but right now I am SO OVERWHELMED with all of the packing/planning/worrying.
We got back from Confirmation camp on Thursday. It was a fun week, but I was so exhausted afterwards. It was a good group of kids and miraculously there was almost no middle school drama. We were teaching about Paul's letters and it seemed like the kids actually learned something and had a good time in the process.
Ocean Shores wasn't the nicest beach town I've ever been to but we went to an amazing ice cream place and we also bought one of those 2 string trick kites and I learned how to do all kinds of flips etc. with it and it is very very fun. Jim is a big kite guy so he had some really neat ones, including a series of kites that he flies together and can do loops and stuff with. He had 7 up when we were there, but he says he can do up to 16 at a time!
